Picture ID (or passport) for pickup

To further ensure the safety of our students, we will begin using the "Raptor" electronic system to sign students in when they are tardy in the mornings and we will also use the same system to document when they leave campus early for whatever reason (illness, doctor's appointment, etc.)

For that reason, beginning tomorrow, any parent/guardian who is picking up their student early from school must show a picture ID (or passport). The ID will be scanned into the Raptor system, everytime.

Para garantizar aún más la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, comenzaremos a usar el sistema electrónico "Raptor" para inscribir a los estudiantes cuando lleguen tarde por las mañanas y también usaremos el mismo sistema para documentar cuándo salen temprano de la escuela por cualquier motivo (enfermedad, cita médica, etc.)

Por esa razón, a partir de mañana, cualquier padre/ tutor que recoja a su estudiante temprano de la escuela debe mostrar una identificación con foto (o pasaporte). La identificación se escaneará en el sistema Raptor, cada vez.

Parents, please remember that hand-held cell phone use while driving, even in a parking lot, is illegal! Please do not use your hand-held cellphone while driving in our parking lot, especially at drop-off in the morning & during dismissal in the afternoons.

Traffic Pattern - Arrival and Dismissal

If you drop off your child at the back entrance of the school, we need your help. Some drivers are not obeying the traffic signs in the parking lot and are not following the flow of traffic.

After you drop off your child at the door, you must drive all the way around the parking lot to exit the school. For the safety of the children getting off their vehicles, you cannot make a "u-turn" in the driveway or parking lot to exit. Traffic signs are posted for everyone's safety. We have asked the AISD Police Department next week to help us ensure all drivers are being safe.

Si deja a su hijo en la entrada trasera de la escuela, necesitamos su ayuda. Algunos conductores no están obedeciendo las señales de tráfico en el estacionamiento y no están siguiendo el flujo del tráfico.

Después de dejar a su hijo en la puerta, debe conducir todo el camino alrededor del estacionamiento para salir de la escuela. Por la seguridad de los niños que se bajan de sus vehículos, no se puede dar una vuelta (u-turn) en el camino de entrada o estacionamiento para salir. Para la próxima semana, le hemos pedido al Departamento de Policía de AISD que nos ayude a garantizar que todos los conductores estén seguros.

Lunchtime Visitors

Due to ongoing safety protocols, we cannot have unatended visitors in the building at this time (including traveling to/from the cafeteria) or have visitors going in and out the building doors. In the near future, we will have special days for parents to join their students outside at the picnic tables for lunch.

The Texas Education Agency is conducting ongoing safety audits of school buildings, focusing especially on how secure exterior doors are at each building they visit. These audits were announced after the tragedy in Uvalde. For that reason, we must enforce only one main exit/entrance to our building by visitors. Also, if you come to the campus and are allowed in by office staff, please DO NOT allow anyone else to enter behind you. Every visitor must be allowed in by the office staff through the intercom system at the door.

The safety of our students and staff and the security of our building will continue to be of utmost importance to us. We apologize for any inconvenience these protocols may cause you, however, please understand that our student's safety comes first.

Debido a los protocolos de seguridad, no podemos tener visitantes desatendidos en el edificio en este momento (incluidos los viajes hacia/desde la cafetería). En un futuro cercano, tendremos días especiales para que los padres se unan a sus estudiantes afuera en las mesas de picnic para almorzar.

La Agencia de Educación de Texas está llevando a cabo auditorías de seguridad continuas de los edificios escolares, centrándose especialmente en qué tan seguras son las puertas exteriores en cada edificio que visitan. Estas auditorías se anunciaron después de la tragedia en Uvalde. Por esa razón, debemos tener solo una salida/entrada principal a nuestro edificio por parte de los visitantes.

Además, si viene al campus y el personal de la oficina le permite entrar, NO permita que nadie más ingrese detrás de usted. Cada visitante debe ser permitido por el personal de la oficina a través del sistema de intercomunicación en la puerta.

La seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y personal y la seguridad de nuestro edificio seguirán siendo de suma importancia para nosotros. Nos disculpamos por cualquier inconveniencia que estos protocolos puedan causarle, sin embargo, comprenda que la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes es lo primero.
